Yesterday I played Shakespeare – Julius Caesar. Well, not really played, mostly discussed: I tried my hand on a shakespearean reading of Brexit. A clip made inhouse at EFOR, after Julius Caesar.
My proposal is to declare 2016 the Shakespeare Political Year: developments, conflicts and leaders we saw recently are easier to interpret through classic drama themes and characters than by reading political science textbooks.
Event sponsored by the British Council. They liked it and said we should meet again in April 2017, after the first round of presidential elections in Frexit … sorry, France.
This was part of EFOR’s Shakespeare program: last moth we had labyrinth theatre on the theme of Macbeth.
